This is a modification to the "porsche_964_GT2" by zin5ki with the aim to bring it to a performance level of the BPR GT1 entries from 1994 and 1995.
Obermaier Racing #12 - Paris 1000 km 1994
Konrad Motorsport #42 - Paris 1000 km 1994
Freisinger Motorsport #45 - Paris 1000 km 1994
Freisinger Motorsport #44 - Paul Ricard 4H 1994
Konrad Motorsport #42 - Jarama 4H 1994
Freisinger Motorsport #45 - Jarama 4H 1994
I have changed the gear ratio to replicate the G50/52 5-speed gearbox used in this car.
Furthermore I tweaked to power.lut to replicate the power curve of a 964 Bi-Turbo. With the modification the power goes up to 630 HP and torque up to 740 Nm.
Update 0.6: After reading more about this car I reduced its power Output to 550 HP and 650 Nm of torque
To put the front brake calipers in the right position I edited the kn5 file.
Each skin which comes with the car uses now corresponding tire textures.
The sound comes from the MWorks Porsche 964 Turbo. Sound volume has been tweaked via an *.ini file to better match the real race car.
Obviously there is still a lot to desire if you really want a 911 Bi-Turbo. For example the bodykit was slightly different to the 3.8L RSR. But for the moment it is what we have and it is great fun to race it in a GT field of the period.
Sources and credits:
car: the car is a modified "Porsche_964_GT2" the author is zin5ki and he deserves all the credit.
sound: the sound has been taken from the "mworks_964t_wangan". I do not have a contact to the author, that's why I did not ask for permission. If there might be a problem, I would take the DL down and chose for example the RUF CTR Yellowbird sound (which is a bit less dramatic )
Tires:
Pirelli: Sams Tyre Pack 1.3, source RD
Yokohama: OPMP_URD_TyrePack, source RD
I hope you like the car.
Daniel
