Assetto Corsa Competizione Version 1.8.11 Released to Steam

Assetto Corsa Competizione has been updated to version 1.8.11 on Steam, which brings minor bug fixes and improvements to the sim.

Kunos Simulazioni has released an update to the PC version of Assetto Corsa Competizione. Version 1.8.11 is now available on Steam, and it brings a shortlist of hotfixes.

Perhaps the most notable change here is the fix to acceleration rate while running a setup with negative toe. Some users had reported that running unusually high levels of negative toe had resulted in unexpectedly improved performance.

This hotfix for ACC comes on a day of celebration for the Kunos team, as their GT racing focused sim is enjoying an "overwhelmingly positive" period of reviews on Steam currently. Of the 400+ reviews posted in the last 30 days, 95% have been positive.

Below is the changelog for Assetto Corsa Competizione's move to version 1.8.11. Let us know your thoughts on this update or anything else ACC related in the comments below.

Changelog:
  • Fixed a potential issue with cars in pitlane triggering yellow flags.
  • Fixed an issue with Hotlap session resetting setup when being restarted from outside the track.
  • Tyre model fine tuning.
  • Fixed negative toe acceleration issue.
  • Fixed BMW M4 GT4 wet setups 0 wing and ducts.
  • Fixed wet track limits and adjusted thresholds.
  • Revised erroneous corner exemptions with track limit warnings on a number of tracks.
  • Missing minimum driving requirement in team races now results in a SG30 rather than a Disqualification.
  • Fixed potential stutters with font cache reloading.

Congratulations for Kunos, i think they are making a great work with all these fixes, improving the game, now i hope they will release new content for the PC fans, now they are busy with launch on console, but don´t forget PC users please. I´m dreaming on a DLC with "Blancpain Legends" with cars like Mercedes Sls, Ferrari 430 or Aston Martin Dbrs9, could be a dream come true
... and Nordschleife :x3:

I would love to see that data, please share it! :roflmao:
This is probably the latest one I've looked at.

I don't remember where this was from and what the tire dimension was, though. My folder is a bit messy so I doubt I can find it quickly, sorry. Seems to be a somewhat heavily loaded road tire.

Yeah definitely too high a pressure for a race tire
It has a full tread, so it's not a race tire. FWIW every engineer I've talked to and all the data I've seen (not that much) claims Ca decreases with added pressure. Of course the trend can change in some extreme parameters like 1psi or 100psi.

Some bad tire models show an opposite trend, but they can't generate slipcurves or loadcurves correctly, so I would watch out what kind of data source you use.

While I have not tried ACC with the latest updates yet there has been something very strange going on with the handling of the cars. It seems to affect the mid engine cars the most but while present on the front and Front mid engine cars it is more manageable. The cars seem to suffer from a bit of exaggerated pendulum, wag the dog effect. It reminds me of early gran turismo games where the car felt and looked like it was mounted on a pole, albeit a mobile pole. The handling also seems to have a bit too much lift throttle oversteer (usually at the worst possible times) similar to RRE on their FWD cars in a much earlier build that has since been dialed in to perfection. If I can put rF2 aside long enough to give ACC another test I'll update this post. The new UI rF2 build has solved my CTD issue so ACC has been parked again lately but bravo to the ACC devs for finally adding the missing FFB for older wheels like my G27.

2.25 to 3.10 bars pressures aren't nowhere close to racing tires conditions. They are probably on the right path to 18 wheelers territory LOL

But I just told you that it's a fully treaded tire. As in the image filename says it. So I'm not sure what you're refuting because I never mentioned racing tires. Nor have I seen data to indicate otherwise for racing tires. Do you have some conflicting data about race tires?

ACC really is a great sim.Very realstic, steady improvements, few bugs & easy to use.
What I would really like to see is the ACC base used for other series like WEC,BTCC,Indycar or even Nascar. The licences for those games are elsewhere but the Nascar21 debacle could change things.

I think we'll never see Nords, cause is under ADAC licence, and Lemans is under ACO so we only got Cars and tracks under SRO but is great too cause we could get Sebring, Sonoma, Valencia, Magny Cours.. etc but i agree with you that ACC with Nords would be a success combination, this Game is great on physics and effects and i'm dreaming on Nords too despite will be no chance on ACC

Where is Daytona 24, Road America, Watkins Glenn and Road Atlanta?
And please remove Monza and Spa from mp
If there's an American GT pack, it will probably include tracks from the SRO championship. So no Daytona and no Road Atlanta. In 2021, the tracks in the SRO championship were Sonoma, COTA, Virginia, Road America, Watkins Glen, Sebring and the Indianapolis road course.

I don't know how many of these could be added to the game. That's 7 new tracks at once.
