Track: Sebring 12h

INTRODUCTION
Welcome to second official Racedepartment World Endurance Series event.
The Racedepartment World Endurance Series, or RDWES for short, is a series of (semi)endurance races we will hold during the year.
After a blast on Mid Ohio, we will again make a visit to the USA, to Sebring to be exact.
Sebring International Raceway is one of the oldest continuously-operating race tracks in the United States, its first race being run in 1950. As this track has a long history of Endurance racing, we feel we should honor it by this event.
There will be NO driver swaps allowed in this event. Total race length is 300 miles, which will equal about 2.5 hours of racing.

AVAILABLE CARS
The cars available will all be from the GT classes. In addition to the GT Endurance Series by ISI, we have decided to include the Renault Megane Trophy.
RaceDepartment will try to stay up to date with the latest patches and releases of these mod’s. This list will be updated according to the latest decisions of the staff concerning implemented patches and releases.
Available choices will be:

GT1
Nissan GT-R

GT4
Nissan 370Z
Maserati GT (taken out due to missing whipers and brake disc glow animation).

One-Make Racing
Renault Megane

SKINS
For this round, a custom MOD will be created. Everyone who wants to use a custom skin can make one and send it in a working download link. The DEADLINE is October 1st (!!!!), so after that you'll need to pick a standard skin for the race. Happy skinning guys! Don´t forget to put a RD logo on there.

Dead line costum skin period has ended!

SCHEDULE/SESSION INFO - ALL TIMES IN GMT
Official Practice: 16:30 (90 minutes)
Qualification: 18:00 (30 minutes)
Warm-up: 18:30 (15 minutes)
Race: 18:45 (82 Laps = +/- 300Miles)

All drivers must be in the server at least 15 minutes before qualifying, anyone who joins after the start of qualifying will start from the back of their specified class with the exception of people who experience last minute technical issues. The server will be open for unofficial practice before official starting time, and will be restarted at 16:30 GMT exactly. From that moment on, the server will stay up, so a nice rubber pavement can be made.

Signups.
To sign up for this event, you must have a valid license from Racedepartment. If you sign up, we do expect you to show up!. To sign up, please take a look in the Sign Up Thread.

For now, we have limited the signup list to 28 entrants. If needed, we can expand that number with an additional 20 drivers, so all can have a go at this.

Notes.
· Chatting of any kind during Qualifying and the Race is strictly prohibited in the chat. There is no need to say sorry/thanks/pitting/leaving pits/etc. Anything that needs to be said can wait until after the session.
· If you feel you were wronged in any way during an event and wish to report the incident, simply send the event organiser a private message. Please include a description of the incident along with a video. If you are unable to create a video, please include details such as who was involved and where the incident happened with a timestamp. Do not post reports/accusations in the thread itself - negativity and anger gets us nowhere.
· We encourage all our drivers to use Teamspeak 3, download here. Talking directly to your fellow drivers increases the fun and the ability to share information in an easy friendly way. It will improve your driving skills dramatically, Log in here
· Please take into account that rFactor 2 is still in beta stage and that technical problems might occur. If you spot a bug please post a (constructive) report in the dedicated bug forum here.

It seems the issue was Megane related Nicky.
I believe it's working now, at least offline it does. So I am uploading it to the server, to put up a test there as well as I am typing this message.

When all works, I will upload the mod, so you can download it again. Will keep you updated.

{edit}
Seems to work online as well. At least for me it does. Now does that not always mean it's ok, as the build is on my PC as well.

So, I am uploading it, and will leave server open. Please test it, and let me know if it works.
There is 1 thing that does not work, and thats the ICON for the series itself.
Links will follow soon...

Seems to work ok for me.I got into the server ok but did not actually drive. There are only two problems. There are none of my setups in any of the folders and only seems to be custom skins to chose from,no stock skins.Probably need default skins to see my setups I'm guessing.

Rfactor maybe thinks that this is another car on the left side where you see the folders are three buttons one is called "All" or "Vehicle" just press it and you will see all Setups you have saved for the selected track. i had that issue several times.

Thanks i never knew that, all is good for me except which car do i drive now that the stock skins are not available.Don't want to use somebody's skin,or are these skins for everybody.

Yep, everything is correct now except that the standard cars are missing.

Stefan & Marco I respect the work you have put into this allowing us to have custom skins despite the fact that it is a single event. Can't help but feeling a bit like the one to blame for this skin/mod-confusion as I was the one to propose the idea...

And by the looks of it, adding single skins/cars was way easier in rF1 than rF2?

It would be killer if we could get in the standard cars as well before tomorrow, but if not then best way would be to only use the standards.

I can make a small update tonight on the mod, with the custom cars in as well.

Have to admit that I did not follow this event well enough, and therefore simply forgot to add the link to the default cars in the mod. Sorry for that, my mistake.

Will do so when I get home, post the update, update the server, and make all download links available again.

Good to see that so far it works for all. Shall try to get the image from the series icon fixed as well tonight.

@Magnus Dahlgren,
No problem mate :) Like I said above, I enjoy doing this :).
The issue is that there seems to be at least 2 ways to add the custom cars. 1 way, relatively easy (explained above by Esteve, looks less nice.

The other way, we did now, looks a lot nicer, but is a lot of extra work as well. As always in life, its all about choices :)

im also unable to go in offline mode and choose a car because i dont see any cars... Im unable to put in training now with the cars. There is a big change i will miss tomorows event because of this stupid rf 2 package/mod system:S.. Why did rf 2 choose for this system while the other was working fine????:S

Ive downloaded and installed the skin pack that Marco put up, then tryed to get onto the server but had to go through downloading it again from the server then checking before install.
When all of that was done, everytime i tryed to join it said "connection to the server lost".
Any ideas what the problem is?

@Christopher Hall-Nelson and @Bjorn de Haas,
Try the following.

Open the launcher
Open the Multiplayer

Click on Manage Mods (in the multiplayer that is!)
Select a different mod, so NOT the RDWES version
Click on Accept.

Now do these last 3 steps again, but now select the RDWES mod

Try to join the server again.

You do NOT need to re-download. When it says Get Mod on the join button, try the steps above, and it should display Join again.

Also, I assume both of you DID uninstall any previous versions of the mod? Thats important as well.

If all fails, uninstall everything. Make sure it's actually gone by checking the INSTALLED folder.
Remember to also check the RFM folder (/installed/rfm) and the manifest folder (/installed). Both are located in the Data folder of your install.
Check the Vehicles folder (/installed/vehicles) to see if the RDWES GTR, RDWES Meganes and RDWES 370z car's are uninstalled as well.

If all is gone, then reinstall the new mod.

Oh, @Bjorn de Haas,
They have done so to eliminate options for cheating. Now, I am NOT saying that they made the right choice with this, but there are indeed some improvements compared to the previous way of handling things.
But there are also many downsides. Especially since there are so many inconsistency errors, both with mod creation as with mod usage.

My personal view on it, is that ISI finds this at this stage not interesting enough to do anything about it. The inconsistency is there since day 1, and has improved not much since..
