Are too many games being released at one time?

Three years ago, AAA titles were released months apart from each other.

Since the beginning of the year, there are so many enticing games being released on Steam in perhaps one week.

It's not just PC, even Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo are overwhelming the consumer with all these super enticing titles.

What makes me crave for "MOAR!" is these pre-purchase offers as some exclusive character, costume, or free soundtrack.

Just recently, Deep Silver released Sacred 3, and, a week later, Risen 3.

Ubisoft has been churning Assassin's Creed games left and right.

Nintendo just released a slew of their well-known IPs within three months.

Yes, developers need money and what not, but, they NEED TO SLOW DOWN!!! DO YOU THINK WE'RE MADE OF MONEY???

I had to vent there; so, in the light of this situation, do you think we need to be more choice of what games to buy?

I think it is better. You don't have to play a game as soon as it is released. You can buy one, then wait for the others until their prices drop or get into a sale. More the games the better.

Well, some companies like Nintendo did it before Christmas to boost Wii U sales in that period, which would work for them ;) Games such as Smash Bros. U will do the business.
