F1 2014 Ferrari steering wheel (in game)

Hi guys,

Just a quickie..... Been glued to the game for a few hours now and I was wondering.... On the Ferrari steering wheel there is a little figure that keeps changing, I think it has something to do with fuel. Can someone explain what it is to me? Not too sure if this is on any other wheel with the display.
