Playseat challenge with csl elite

Hi all,
I am using a playseat challenge with my t300 and elite LC pedals.
I am thinking about getting a csl elite wheel but have concerns regarding hard mounting.
Based on looking at various youtube videos you are faced with two options.
1. Turn the mounting plate around and using just two screws so the the wheel is a nice distance from you but maybe a bit of play at the front of the wheel. Or
2. Use the 3 screw mounting option and have the wheel very close to you (not ideal). But a solid mount.

Has anyone taken this upgrade path and can put my mind at rest please.

Probably not too much help, but you can shift the base plate the wheel attaches to on the playseat. But it is maybe a max adjustment of about 3 or 4 inches?

I had a CSW 2.5 on a Playseat Challenge, and I think I used the method of flipping the plate around and using three bolts. It did bring the wheel a bit forward, but as I'm not very tall it was fine for me. The mounting was solid, but of course the whole seat will have significant flex. I did not find that bothering me much, the Challenge is a great seat for what it is.
