Red Bull Ring coming to Assetto Corsa Competizione in GT2 Car Pack

In a surprise move, Assetto Corsa Competizione is getting a new track before the Nordschleife is added later this year, the Red Bull Ring with the GT2 Car Pack arriving 24 January.

New tracks in Assetto Corsa Competizione are like buses. You wait for what seems like forever for one, and then two turn up in very quick succession.

After the Circuit Ricardo Tormo was added in April 2023, ACC fans were eagerly awaiting what the next new track was going to be, if there even was going to be one considering they are developing the follow-up to the original Assetto Corsa.

The Nürburgring Nordschleife was announced back in November and the community collectively cheered as the track that has been by far the most requested for ACC was finally being added to the game. With all the work that Kunos will have put into the near 26-kilometre track, it would be reasonable to believe that they would not have the time to make yet another venue.

The 2.7-mile circuit in the Styrian mountains has hosted the Austrian Grand Prix from 1970 to 1987 when it was known as the Österreichring, then as from 1997 under the name A1-Ring. Once again revived since 2014, it is a very popular track with its long straights, heavy braking zones and prominent elevation change. Plus, the challenge that comes with its relatively short length.

As always, tracks that come to ACC must be on an SRO Motorsports Group-sanctioned series’ schedule. This is why the Nordschleife is only just getting added, due to the 24 hours of Nürburgring joining the Intercontinental GT Challenge schedule for this year.

With the Red Bull Ring being added with the GT2 Car Pack, it should be no surprise to learn that the GT2 European Series held a round at the circuit in 2022 and 2023. Although the circuit is not on the schedule for this season.

The cars confirmed for the GT2 Car Pack arriving tomorrow are the following:
  • Audi R8 LMS GT2
  • KTM X-Bow GT2
  • Maserati MC20 GT2
  • Mercedes-AMG GT2
  • Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport Evo
  • Porsche 935 (2019)
Unfortunately, the Brabham BT62/BT63 will not be included in the pack. With the Brabham Group and Brabham Automotive ceasing collaboration, the car will no longer be racing in the series.

Nevertheless, the GT2 Car Pack with the six cars and the Red Bull Ring will be released on 24th January for PC players. Consoles are yet to be confirmed, although typically the console release tends to be a couple of months after the PC release. It is currently unknown how much the GT2 Car Pack will cost but once released, we will update this article with the information.

To check out an early preview of the GT2 cars and the Red Bull Ring, head on over to the OverTake Twitch channel at 7 pm CET where Michel and Yannik are taking part in the preview event with many other sim racing content creators.

It seems that people forgot what the craftmanship is and they believe that, by buying products, they aquire rights to chide product creators.

I am creator and I know that it's difficult to separate yourself from your product and from ill presented criticisms. This stuff hurts.

And there is a big difference between constructive criticism and negative review.

What is your point you police.
Why don't you go ask the people started it ?
Wasn't me ?

and posting pictures like personal attacks is no better !
Hypocrites
trough those pictures I just wanted to convey "Open your mind" message. Didn't wanted to attack anybody trough them. But yeah, they are quite weird :D

It wasn't you. Sorry. I just wanted to ask ACC community about this Andrew. What's the deal with him. That's all. Sorry for detour.

And trough this comment I figured out what the real problem is.

Ok, i am out.
GT2@RBR FTW ;)

Have fun guys

D
Well, that was a weird encounter.

Whoa! And this is what I didn't expected but I highly appreciate! :D I almost lost hope to see RBR in ACC and suddenly dreams coming true! Sweeeeeet!

Currently playing ACC the most at the mo, so I'm excited for this.

I watched the races yesterday and the RBR track certainly is good for racing, not too hard to learn and with enough room for duels, overtaking etc. It is going to be very popular.

The cars are just... more modern GT cars so what can I say, they look nice but I am not blown away. I know it is not realistic to expect VERY different cars in ACC but now we have 50+ modern GT cars in game! I think it's enough :D. In the end I always stick to the same couple of cars. At least try and add some bonus vintage GT car for a change?

A bit sad about the absence of Aris. Without any "face" from Kunos it all gets a bit anonymous.

This is quite a fun track to watch real racing and the setting in the mountains is really nice but in simracing i never really enjoyed it. I also find the ACC tracks so lifeless somehow.

The cars are probably meh even Jardier did not seem that enthousiastic so that says something. I liked the Ferrari GT2 type car they added in earlier DLC though, that was fun, so who knows.

Aris is really missed as a release day promotion guy. I wonder if they will put someone else on that job?

D
Why doesn t ACC hit to me?
Because of all the Dudes reply this question.

Good 2c this greek-named guy isn t part of the ACC Team further. This and the release of Nords could bring me back to that sterile sim.

Oh, oh, AMS2 creeps are here.
Sounds like sarcasm is not your forte.
What is your obsession with AMS2? My only interactions with you are only because you are totally biased against this game (I play all sims, included AC and ACC). You think all people that disagree with you are "AMS2 fanboys"... get some therapy.
If you have nothing interest to say, forums are not for you... use Facebook instead. Good place for people like you

MMMMMMmmmmm Yes please. Or Sebring.

If they did a "track pack dlc" that included Nords, Le Mans, Sebring, mag and hock I'd pay 49 usd for that
Kiss your hopes for Le Mans goodbye, because the reason Nords is only getting a release is because it's part of an SRO series. So unless SRO take control of the Le Mans 24 hours (which is quite frankly impossible), Le Mans would never ever be in ACC.

Sebring, Magny Cours and Hockenheim on the other hand? All would be within the realm of possibility.

Damn I thought the 24hr series that made Nords a possible thing included Le Mans. Oh well, still awesome. I'd love Sebring and Hockenheim for sure though. Magny I'd be happy to see as well.

No unfortunately, the SRO series Intercontinental GT Challenge has got Nords on its schedule, the 24hr Series is not SRO controlled.

Great mod but I suggest to Kunos don't forget Hocheneim, Algarve and partyculary Mugello track. Bye for now

Mugello is not on any SRO series' schedule. Hockenheim and Algarve are though, so they are certainly within the realm of possibility.
