Is this happening to you on the road course or the oval? I'm aware of the oval pitlane penalty problem. For single player vs ai, disable penalties, if racing online use the oval layout labeled Online. The pitlane is so close to the back straight it thinks you're driving the wrong way.
Thanks a lot for your work ! It's always great to see when someone puts his lifeblood into a project like this, even if it's not perfect it shows the spirit of the racing community ! Keep on racin' !
Really nice track! Great for running old SCCA style grids on, could do with maybe a bump up in pit numbers. Really came alive once I thrashed together a quick and dirty RainFX & GrassFX config.
Sorry for the late comment on this, I was struggling to get rain-fx working. No matter what I did I couldn't get it to show up (I have preview version) mind messaging me? Maybe you could point me in the right direction, rain-fx is something I'd like make work on this eventually.
Looks nice. However, the track map doesn't match the course and the ai are very confused when running a full grid (most drive all over the place). Unraceable with the ai at the moment.
I ran into the Ai issue recently. For now, if you download v1.0, the Ai should be a bit more reasonable. I've been backed up with other projects, but I will be addressing it. Thanks!
I loved Racecity when it was open. The last time I went was when they had monster trucks and a jet car to burn up a van on the oval. Very faithful recreation. Happy to see it in AC.
I got into sim racing many years ago which led me into racing karts in 2012 and still racing at CKRC in Strathmore. Sadly I never the opportunity to turn laps at Race City but thanks to you I just did 20 laps in a Tatuus in VR and man it was awesome! Great work.
Your passion for this clearly shows. I especially loved hearing about the track's history in the video you made. Make sure to put some more screenshots of the track on the page btw! Your work is great and should be shown to as many people in the best quality possible.
A lot of potential here. I really like the vintage setting. Still a lot of work to go to reach that top level. But I definitely seeing this developing into a solid track mod no matter what.
What year is the track set in? Looks like the late 1980s or early 1990s from what I can tell.
It's a bit of a mix, depending on my reference photos. Main reference was Google earth historic imagery, and I primarily used 2008 as a reference, but I used photos from my mom's old photo albums, some of the photos I even used to texture things (such as the billboards) and those date back to 1990.
The story is what this is all about. Loved hearing your attatchment to your track, it is something I can absolutely relate to. It is fantastic you made the track. Thank you
Thank you! I'm glad you found the track. I have to admit it's pretty cool hearing that from you, as the MAD Formula MFTC3 mod is one of my favorites.
Cheers!
