The portable port of Funselektor’s beguiling top-down driving game, Art of Rally, will now be released in January 2024.
Originally slated for a December 2023 release, those looking for a retro-infused mobile rally fix will have to wait a little longer as the Apple and Android version of Art of Rally has suffered a small setback.
The conversion is being handled by Canadian portable experts, Noodlecake Games, and will support third-party controllers alongside touch inputs. Picture yourself on a plane with an iPad and a gamepad, playing one of the most beloved indie rally titles of recent years.
The mobile version will include all content seen in the PC and console versions, although it’s not clear if that includes the recently released Australian downloadable content pack.
The new schedule is 18th January for iOS devices for $4.99 with pre-orders currently live via the App Store. That price includes a limited-time 40 per cent discount that expires two weeks after release.
The Android version will now follow ‘soon after’ with pre-registration available on the Play Store.
“Art of Raly for iOS will be delayed until January 18th, 2024, with Android coming soon after,” says a statement from developers Noodlecake.
“We sincerely apologize for the delay. We are taking this extra time to hone the controls, optimize the performance for as many devices as possible and add in support for more third-party controllers.”
