I've heard other people complain about this, I don't have an answer but it might be worth your while popping over to S3 forums and asking there.
I'm sure that's where I saw the discussion about the bug.

Bummed and apologize for missing today's event....I had put some practice in and was looking forward to the race than I decided to set my alarm for 30 min before the race and have a nap......4 hrs later i ended up waking up 30 min before I had to go to work....I was out! lol

Unfortunately my game crashed when switching from Quali2 to Race2.
But race 1 I enjoyed, had lot of troubles during practice - wasn't racing for few weeks and wasn't expecting this layout change. Fortunately I suit to it during practice (but it hurts), then, in race 1 had nice battling for first place. Thx again, see you next time!

also is everything set for sunday evening?two servers with same conditions?i think it's a good solution to prepare early than last minute if admins have time offcourse.Someone at the end of practice needs to count all racers and devid them in half, hopefully all of them in TS so we can split

Since we are using the sprint version i think i will go and purchase Audi R8 and the RUF.
Don't like to much oversteer and for me turbo cars give me that, so going for a naturally aspirated one and on paper RUF and Audi should be pretty decent on this track.
